Le Grand Massif is one of the largest ski areas in France and encompasses, Samoëns, Les Carroz, Morillon, Sixt Fer-à-Cheval and Flaine. It includes over 265 km of pistes, over varied terrain perfect for all levels of skiing and snowboarding.
Le Grand Massif enjoys some of the most regular snowfall in Europe, due to its proximity to the Mont Blanc (and associated micro-climate), and with 80% of the slopes facing north, the snow lasts longer and stays in excellent condition all season long.
Le Grand Massif is also home to the longest blue run in Europe, La Piste des Cascades. An incredible 14 km descent from the summit of Flaine (2500m) through to the village of Sixt over a spectacular, winding route, through the region’s largest nature reserve, and providing awe-inspiring views of the Mont Blanc Massif and the Buet Mountains.
